Actually this is yesterday’s photo of the day, but not able to process and upload until I returned to our studio this afternoon. We did a quick sprint to Las Vegas on Thursday afternoon to help pack out and move a very good friend of ours (yes, it was 105 degrees F, Yikes), finishing late last night, with a few odds and ends today and then back to Southern CA (a very cool 93 degrees F).
While driving about in the Las Vegas suburbs and neighborhoods, you see a lot of changes. Tearing down the 1940 – 50 – 60’s desert houses and being replaced by the track housing developments. Occasionally you still find the funky old desert house, but not as often. This house was actually ringed by a fence and looking very abondoned. What was also interesting was the old single-wide mobile home adjacent to the house. As to that wonderful sky, that was due to the summer monsoon storms that come up from Mexico and the Gulf. Las Vegas located out in the desert gets more rain at times than Southern California.
Best regards, Doug
