The Last Iceberg – new series of cyanotypes

This is another update on my earlier update on The Last Iceberg series. When I first started on the larger project, Anthropogenic Crisis, in 2021 that eventually spun off The Last Iceberg series, which I had pre visualized in color. Since then, I have started printing the blue and white cyanotypes initially working on my other series, while wondering if this medium might work for any of the various Anthropogenic Crisis spin-offs. I began to suspect this cyanotype printing and The Last Iceberg series might be a good match and the best way to find out was to start cyanotype printing some of my images.

The resulting prints, one of which is above, appears very interesting and I feel that these imaginary landscapes could engage a wider audience into a broader dialog about the ongoing and accelerating climate changes. Thus, I will continue to develop and print more of this series as cyanotypes and see where this might lead to.
