Interesting day…

…just when I thought everyone (that is the few that read my blog) were tired of hearing me go on about my series, Bad Trip – Sad Trip, I find that I do have one reader, Paul Butzi (blog: Musing on Photography) who gave me a very nice review and a hint to carry on. On the day that I posted an image that is way off the charts from my series. go figure. Anyhow, for the 100+ who gave me a read today, thanks!

Now, back on subject. Turns out that a friend who just lost his mother this last week, finally got caught up with my web site and saw my image Randy (it’s posted somewhere down below) from the Bad Trip – Sad Trip series. His name is also Randy and he told me that this was a really good image for him and about him that day. It seemed to fit. For me, that was not an intended or thought about consequence when I made the photograph. Always amazes me how photographs effect different people in some many different ways.

And it gets better. Randy then told me that as a result of seeing my Bad Trip – Sad Trip portfolio, he has now become aware of these road side memorials. And one recent roadside memorial that I was not aware of was just 15 minutes away on the Santa Susanne Pass Road. Now I knew what I was doing for lunch today!

Regretfully like most of these memorials, this one is equally sad tragedy, and I will share a little more later when I have a related image to post. So I now look forward to returning home from this trip and completing the first sort of this and all of the other images made this week. I hope you understand with my current workflow, I am not going to be a source of the image of the day post:- )
