The publication of my book Ciociaria is planned to have its Euopean launch in conjunction with FotoGrafia Festival Internazionale di Roma, September 23rd in Rome, Italy. The FotoGrafia Festival actually runs from September 23rd to October 23rd. I am still tweaking out some design aspects with the book’s publishing team, but here are details of the book to date.
This Hard cover book that will be printed and bound in Italy, with 96 pages and includes 50 color photographs. The first proof of the book’s cover is above, the lead in to this post.
The book’s size has a page trim of 20.5 cm x 24.5 cm, or 8 1/16″ H x 9 5/8″ W and the cover’s outside dimension is 8 1/2″ H x 10″ W. Although not an absolute lay flat binding, the book does open easily and reading is a very enjoyable experience.
There will be an essay by Marco Delogu and a brief afterword by me, with the text provided in both English and Italian.
The (Update: pre-publication) book is priced at $55.00 (USD), and during the pre-publication duration, I will sign the book and ship at no cost to the buyer. (Update: Price after October 1, 2011 is $60.00)
I will also have available two Limited Edition sets with this book, with a choice of two photographic print versions. The Limited Edition set is a signed and numbered book and photographic print in a slip cover. The photograph will be an archival ultrachrome K3 inks on archival, acid free, 100% rag, fine art paper, outside dimensions the same as the book’s cover. The edition size of each set is 25 plus 5 artist proofs (A/P), and the price is $250.oo. At the moment, I have not finalized which two photographs will be available, but I will make this determination soon.
