Memory Pods exhibition being rescheduled due to COVID-19

I had the good fortune to announce in October that my Memory Pods series is going to be featured in a solo exhibition at the Photographer’s Eye gallery in Escondido next January. Now the next wave of COVID-19 is impacting just about all of California and we are now back into a shelter-in-place mode until after the first of the year. Most believe the worst is not over yet in this recent wave of infections with the spread of this virus due to a lack of discretion by many during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Thus I am finding myself impacted like so many other artists with exhibitions at which no one can attend. sigh.

Fortunately after some exhibition evaluations by Donna Cosentino, the gallery Director, she found a way to adjust her exhibition schedule to allow us to delay our exhibition by at least a month, with an opening probably in late February. So I think that’s the really good news, even though there is a chance of the shelter-in-place for California extending into February. So more updates to come as she finalizes the schedule.

It seemed appropriate that one of my darkest images in my exhibition, Angst, should accompany this announcement.

As a reminder, I am exhibiting thirteen images from my Memory Pods series in conjunction with Louise Russell’s botanical photographic studies from her families San Diego ranch in the other gallery. My exhibit will include artwork that spans the entire six years that I have continued to develop the Memory Pods series. The artwork is 24 x 30″, in an edition of five, printed on Hahnemuhle Rag Metallic, which looks stunning. Really, it does.

The first of the Angst photographs is now framed, as are the others for this exhibition, and are available; so please contact Donna Cosentino at the Photographer’s Eye gallery if you would like more information. Your purchase for the holidays could help two small businesses during this pandemic. Just saying…

Cheers & be stay safe; wear a mask, social distance and become vaccinated as soon as you can.
