Honorable Mention awarded to one of my cyanotype seascapes

Sea Kelp & Sea Stacks, Bandon, Oregon, copyright 2023 Douglas Stockdale with exhibition photo by Kathleen Koopman, copyright 2023

A little pat on my back shout-out for gardening a Honorable Mention for one of my two cyanotype seascapes that are on exhibition at the Light Art Space exhibition, titled H2O: Shifting Currents that I posted earlier about being juried into.

I am delighted with this award, as you might imagine.

As Ann Mitchell recently posted on Facebook, it is healthy for one to acknowledge their ‘small win’.

So I will take this recognition by the gallery as a nice validation of my on-going cyanotype printing development, alternative photography methods investigation and visualization aesthetics. A really nice bonus for a Sunday morning to help keep the creative home fires burning…of course, selling this framed and matted print would be a nice bonus too (hint, hint). LoL

Sea Kelp & Sea Stacks, Bandon, Oregon, the cyanotype image is 9 x 12″ on a 11 x 14″ sheet of Revere Platinum hot press cotton rag. Variable edition of 5 + 1AP.

Make every day an Earth Day
