Louise Russell, Donna Cosentino, the Executive Director of The Photographer’s Eye gallery and I will be discussing our artwork and mutual solo exhibitions. Earlier this week I had posted a ‘virtual’ walk through my exhibition of the Memory Pods series.
Donna Cosentino made some fun photographs during the artist reception last Saturday, February 20th (2021) while Louise and I did a photo-dual (Apple versus Samsung), below. Donna and her gallery team provided a wonderful reception considering the pandemic induced limited conditions, masks, social distancing and all. I hope you can tell with all of the smiling under the masks that we had a great event.
I feel fortunate that we even had an opportunity to have the reception, as a month earlier with the pandemic lock-down this would have been an entirely virtual event. Not have an opening reception would have been really disappointing, primarily missing an opportunity to connect with friends while making some new acquaintances, but also with the manner in which these images are printed and displayed, as the luminosity in the gallery lights makes this artwork have a very unique appearance. Thus Giant Kudos to Donna and her team who did some gallery-voodoo and scheduling magic and were able to push back the exhibition to late February; so cool!
