I am very honored that one of my images (Burning Palm) from my Anthropogenic Crisis series was featured as the banner image for an article by Elin Spring and Suzanne Révy who were one of the many portfolio reviewers during the Los Angles Center of Photography (LACP) Exposure Weekend in their wonderful photographic review magazine What Will You Remember?
As what happens sometimes; a well planned and overdue holiday road trip occurs while my artwork is being featured in a magazine article. Elin had provided with a heads-up that my image was going to be featured and the relative timing of the publication, thus, I knew that I would need to provide my own shout-out a little bit after the fact. I will take this as another nice validation of this series to help raise environmental awareness about the issues of global warming.
Other artwork in their article was by Anne Kornfeld (@anne_kornfeld), L. Mikelle Standbridge (@l.mikellestandbridge), Debe Arlook (@debearlook) Lisa Donneson (@lisadonnesonphoto), Pam Connolly (@pamconnollyphoto), Richard Chow (@richardschow), Holly Romano (@hollyromanoartist), Elizabeth Clark Libert (@zardslens), Rohina Hoffman (@rohinaphoto), Lali Khalid (@lalikhalidphotography), Diane D Hemingway (@dianedhemingway), Laila Nahar (@naharlaila) and Nancy Baron (@nancybaron), #whatwillyouremember. Having reviewed some of these artist portfolios, I really approve of the curatorial selection for this article.
Oh, and the week-long road trip to Colorado and back is going to pay some dividends as I did manage to take a few photographs that might work well with my Anthropogenic Crisis project. No surprise, eh?
