Beach humor

San Clemente beach, copyright 2022 Douglas Stockdale

So an interesting thing happened while I was at the Beach working on a fun brainless photo project; while composing a photograph of two individuals reading their books, a young lady walked by and I caught the guy noticing her. He was sitting a bit back further from his partner, who maybe did not notice his intense interest. Okay, I found this funny; life on the beach with its many distractions.

I don’t think I have shared some out-takes from this photographic project yet; sort of a vision of street photography, while walking the beach and observing. A working title is Beachside Book Readers, and so far I have just started a fun collection of these photographs on IG (@beachsidebookreaders).

As a book-nerd, I find myself attracted to those who have a similar interest. Likewise, reading a book at the edge of the ocean is a nice diversion while life and nature strolls by. I am not sure where this little project is going, maybe at some time a photobook. Also realizing that I have a few of these and thought I might as well see if others enjoy this collection as well.

My real intent to making the short drive to the ocean is my interest in photographs for my other environment awareness project, Anthropogenic Crisis. And so while there; taking note of who might be reading and enjoying the surrounding ocean ambiance. A really nice win-win.

Not a bad place to read a book in my estimate. Maybe a better place to be working on my book reviews?

Cheers & make every day an Earth Day

Doug
