When I began working on my pigment ink transfer process using inkAID, the multi-media monotype above is what I was pre visualizing. Layering a pigment ink transfer over an acrylic or intaglio ink (or in this case, both) printed sheet. After layering on the pigment ink transfer earlier this morning, I just needed to fog (spray) coat a fine layer of matte varnish. Done.
This is a consignment print, so I am very excited to get this monotype framed and delivered to its new home.
Pink Thistle, 15 x 20″ image on a 18 x 24″ sheet, unique. A combination of intaglio inks, acrylic paint, and pigment ink.
